Some of you have probably noticed that we are taking methodical steps to expand our “social media” presence. We’ve recently started a weekly newsletter. In fact, that’s probably why you’re reading this now! We are writing blogs that could be about any topic under the sun, but are especially aimed toward helping job seekers improve their chances with hiring managers. We are doing everything we can to grow our Facebook page. Soon we’ll be shifting our focus to Twitter and beyond.

Why are we doing this? What do we hope to gain? What’s in it for you?

Allow us to explain!

First of all, there’s no denying that we are a business and we are in business to make a profit. We are a staffing firm, one among thousands in this country. However, our corporate culture is built around bedrocks like faith, family, community, integrity and hard work. We hire people who genuinely want to make a difference in their communities, who genuinely want to help people find jobs and help businesses find employees. We hire people who care, because we care.

Our mission statement reads, “Our mission is to improve our client’s profits and exceed their expectations while providing our employees with rewarding employment opportunities. Our aim is to be the highest quality provider through integrity, competence and execution. Commitment, loyalty and building long-term relationships with our customers and our employees is the foundation of our business.”

We don’t want anyone working for us who isn’t completely on board with that. Our jobs, after all, are about the relationships we develop with those we help and those we service. Without those relationships we don’t exist as a company.

That’s all well and good, but what does that have to do with social media? Well, social media is a wonderful, inexpensive, effective way to express ourselves to the world. WE think we’re a great company, but do you? If you understand us, maybe you would like to do business with us. If you understand us and don’t want to do business with us, that’s OK too, but at least you’ll know what we’re all about.

So, naturally, we’d like to see as many people as possible within our area of business (and even outside it!) join our Facebook page. So what’s in it for you? Several things!

1.) Keep up with our current job postings. After all, jobs are what we do! Every day we get new positions from our awesome clients. Every day we talk to people about the jobs we have. Are you looking for a job? Do you know anyone who is or could be looking for a job? Do you think there is a possibility you could be looking for a job in the future? Liking our Facebook page and signing up for our newsletter are great ways to keep up with us and the jobs we post.

What’s in it for us? Posting jobs to our newsletter, website, and Facebook is cheaper and MUCH more effective than the newspaper and other traditional media!

2.) Keep up with us. We enjoy posting pictures of various associates of the month, our staff anniversaries, interesting happenings, etc. It allows us to put a human face to what we do because, really, we’re all in this together.

3.) The cool things we post and plan to post. We don’t post a whole lot, maybe 3 times or less per weekday, but we try to look for cool, inspirational, and interesting things to brighten your day. Additionally, we want to make our blog a fun, interesting weekly or bi-weekly distraction.

What’s in it for us? We get to let the ‘world’ know what we’re all about!

So, if you haven’t already, please consider liking our Facebook page! Sign up for our newsletter by putting your information in the top right-side slide-out. You’ve got nothing to lose, and at least three things to gain!
